Which personal data is processed by KNAPP on this platform, and for what purpose?

Under these data protection regulations, personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter referred to as "data subject"). This includes your name, email address and, if applicable, your address and telephone number as well as your credit card, account data and, if you are a registered dealer, your VAT information.

 

Personal data also includes information regarding your use of this website. In this respect, we collect personal data in the following way: Information on your visits to our website such as the amount of data transferred, the location from which you access data on our website and other connection data and sources that you retrieve. Usually, this is done by using log files and cookies.

 

In general, your personal data is deleted within the period defined by law. If we gather your IP address, it is only saved for the time you use the website and is then deleted immediately or made anonymous by shortening it. The remaining data is saved for a limited amount of time based on the following criteria:

Intended use and legal basis

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To meet our order requests;
  • To ensure that our website and the available content is presented to you in an effective and interesting way;
  • To fulfil our obligations resulting from possible contracts concluded between you and KNAPP;
  • To enable your participation in interactive offers, if you wish to participate;
  • To inform you about changes in our services.

 

Regarding your personal data, we will adhere to the relevant legal provisions, notably the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

 

We collect, save and process your personal data if and to the extent that this is necessary for potential initiation, justification, implementation or termination of a contractual relation.

 

Further collection, registration, processing and use of personal data is only carried out if this is necessary or permitted due to a legal requirement, or if you have agreed to it.

 

We point out that, based on Art. 6. Paragraph 1 lit. b) GDPR, the collection, registration, processing and use of the name of your employee authorized to place orders, the consumer or business capacity, the address, etc. are necessary for implementing precontractual measures such as registration as supplier and fulfilment of concluded contracts. Without providing this personal data it is not possible to use the system.

 

Automated decisions

Automated individual decision-making including profiling is not carried out when using our website and services.
